Grants for using AI in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

Since 30 June 2026 a state guideline has funded the introduction of artificial intelligence. It is aimed at smaller and medium-sized firms with a site in the state. I implement such projects — you file the application with the competent body before the work starts.

  • 50% grant of eligible expenditure
  • €50,000 maximum per project
  • up to 100 staff, site in the state
  • 2026–2027 €1.5 million of state funds

Who is eligible?

Micro, small and medium-sized commercial firms with up to 100 staff. A site or branch in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is required, and the project must be carried out mainly there.

What is funded?

Investment in hardware and software to introduce artificial intelligence. The funded object must mainly concern self-learning systems. Necessary advice and training of multipliers can also be funded.

How large is the grant?

A non-repayable grant as de-minimis aid: 50 percent of eligible expenditure, at most €50,000 per project. Below the de-minimis floor nothing is paid: €15,000 for firms with up to 50 staff, €20,000 above that. At most one project per firm in three years. €1.5 million is available for 2026 and 2027.

What this means if you work with me

I build and train language models that run locally on your hardware: knowledge systems, customer service, telephony, in-house assistants. Seminars for leaders and teams can count as training of multipliers. Hardware on site if the model is to stay in the building. I do not award grants. I help shape the work so it fits the guideline, and I do the technical part.

Application and competent body

The firm files the electronic application with TBI Technologie-Beratungs-Institut GmbH, Hagenower Straße 73, 19061 Schwerin. Work must not start before the application has arrived there. The project should usually run within 12 months. The own contribution must be evidenced.

Main conditions

  • A significant improvement on existing processes.
  • A site in the state; the work mainly in the state.
  • No stacking with other aid for the same expenditure.
