Privacy
I process personal data only as needed to run the site, answer requests and organise seminars, or where you have consented. The legal frame is the GDPR, the German DDG and the TDDDG.
Controller
Controller under the GDPR is Benjamin Aldag, hardware and software development, Birkenstr. 10 A, 17252 Mirow, Germany. Use the form on this site or the email in the legal notice.
Hosting and server logs
The site runs on a server in Germany (Strato / Plesk). Requests create technically necessary logs: IP address, time, URL, referrer, user agent. Purpose: operations, security, debugging. Legal basis Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Retention is usually a few days unless security requires longer. Fonts and images are hosted locally, not via Google Fonts.
Cookies and consent
Non-essential cookies are set only after your choice. Reject, custom save and accept all are equally available. Language lives in the URL (/de, /en) — no cookie is needed for that.
- Necessary: digit_consent stores your choice (about 180 days). In the admin area digit_sid is a session cookie (HttpOnly). Legal basis § 25(2) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Statistics (optional): digit_vid, a random ID without your IP, about 400 days. Counts unique visits and the referring host. Only after consent. Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG.
- External services (optional): Google reCAPTCHA on contact and seminar pages. Google sets its own cookies. Only after consent. Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG.
You can change or withdraw the choice at any time via “Cookies” in the footer. Withdrawal applies going forward.
Contact form and seminars
Name, email, optional notes and your message are stored so I can reply or organise the seminar. Legal bases Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Records are kept as long as the matter and statutory retention require, then deleted.
Google reCAPTCHA
After your consent the form loads reCAPTCHA v2 from Google Ireland Ltd. IP address and usage data may go to Google, including the USA. Google relies on its terms and standard contractual clauses. See https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/terms. Without this consent, sending the forms stays disabled.
Audience measurement
With consent I store an anonymous visitor ID, the path and — if present — the referring host. No ad networks. Raw records are usually kept for 24 months, then deleted or kept only in aggregate.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time. Optional cookies are voluntary; the site still works without them, but forms cannot be sent without reCAPTCHA consent.
Right to lodge a complaint
You may complain to a supervisory authority. The competent body is typically the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schloss Schwerin, Lennéstraße 1, 19053 Schwerin, Germany, https://www.datenschutz-mv.de.
Automated decisions
There is no automated decision-making including profiling under Art. 22 GDPR.
